Who We Are
Whimsy Stick LLC operates whimsystick.com. We sell the flirt poles I designed as a trainer, and we put out training content for dog owners too. I’m Christopher Lee Moran, I started the company, and I’ve spent about 10 years with dogs and around 400 client dogs.
What Information We Collect
We only collect what we need to get your order shipped and answer whatever you ask us.
- Order information, so your name, shipping address, email and payment details. Your payment gets handled by our payment processor and it’s never stored on our servers.
- Account information. If you make an account we keep your email and your password, and the password is hashed so it’s never sitting there in plain text.
- Communications. When you email us or fill out the contact form we hang on to that so we can actually help you.
- Site analytics. This is anonymized stuff like which pages got viewed, what browser was used and roughly what country the visit came from. We use it to make the site better and we don’t use it to figure out who you are.
How We Use Your Information
- To process your order and ship it out to you.
- To answer your questions and help with returns or any other support you need.
- To send your order confirmation and shipping updates.
- To send newsletters, but only if you signed up for them, and you can unsubscribe whenever you want.
- To make our products, training content and website better, going off overall patterns and not any one person.
What We Never Do
- We will never sell your personal information to anybody.
- We don’t share your data with any third party for marketing purposes either.
- And we’re not gonna spam you with emails you never asked for.
Cookies and Tracking
We use cookies so your shopping cart works and so the site remembers you’re logged in. We also run Google Analytics (anonymized) to see how the site gets used. You can turn cookies off in your browser if you want, but some parts of the site will quit working if you do.
Third-Party Services
To run the business we use a few third-party services we trust, which is a payment processor for credit cards, a shipping carrier to get your order to you and Google Analytics for the site numbers. Each of them has its own privacy policy and we only give them the data they need to do their part. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete any personal information we have on you. Just email support@whimsystick.com from the address on your account and we’ll get back to you within one business day.
Data Security
The whole site runs on industry-standard encryption (HTTPS), and the only people on our end who can get to your info are the ones who need it to do their job. No system out there is perfectly secure, but we take this seriously.
Changes to This Policy
If we change this policy we’ll post the new version right here with the “Last Updated” date at the top, and if it’s a material change we’ll email it to active customers.
